Beach Bods: Celebrities Train and Sweat at ‘Learn to Ride’ Miami, Muscle Milk and Subaru Power Sessions

Chrissie Wellington is more than used to the extreme pain associated with the infamous Ironman race in Kona.

In other words, she makes pretty much everyone else look like a whimp.

So it was literally a walk in the park when Oakley’s four-time World Champion instructed celebrities in some physical activities at the brand’s latest ‘Learn to Ride’ event at South Beach in Miami late July.

Joining O pro surfer Erica Hosseini, SUPcore (Stand Up Paddleboard fitness program) creator Noelle Kozak, O Wakeboarder Amber Wing and elite trainers like Paul Hinicker (trains Olympian Gretchen Bleiler), the British Triathlon legend partook in two days of exclusive fitness instruction for multiple celebrity guests.

From Dancing With the Stars’ Karina Smirnoff, CoverGirl and Entourage star Dania Ramirez to Real Housewives of Miami stars Marysol Patton/Christina Rice, some of showbiz’s gals suited up in Oakley’s high tech performance apparel – putting their fresh threads to the test in some gruelingly fabulous workouts.

No Gym Required creator, Jennifer Cohen, later took the reins and brought some of the most efficient workout tips to the overall group – while Adam Ernster, Nicole Scherzinger’s (PussyCat Dolls music star) trainer, headed a session to help tone the glutes and build a rock hard body.

While all the hard-charging moves went down, renowned Miami yoga instructor, Cat Haayen, took participants on a ‘Yoga Booty’ and ‘Hip Hop Yoga by YOGathleta’ trip during some morning sessions.

But the event wouldn’t be complete without Chrissie, who’d never lost a major race during her career thus far, leading a one-hour spin class with the latest Cannondale bikes. DJ Irie, the NBA’s Miami Heat’s resident DJ, threw some adrenaline-pumping beats down to energize the ladies throughout Chrissie’s and other sessions.

When the intensity of the day winded down, the group – decked out on the latest Oakley swimwear and performance apparel – cruised on over to the Shore Club, where a private poolside spa and a hot poolside lounge atmosphere added to the already smoldering South Beach heat. But although the group cooled down, the happenings were just beginning to heat up.

Following action-packed days, capped off with manis, facials and massages, the celebs took to the Miami club scene in their stylin’, high-performance Subaru vehicles, which served as the official transportation throughout the weekend’s events.

All in all, it was an overall impressive calorie-blasting outing in South Florida – with Muscle Milk boosting energy and Subaru providing the four-wheel drive speed through the town.
